		<description>Your analysis is fair enough, but your opening premise is, as far it is really possible to know, wrong. He was not kidnapped by the Taliban (who even went as far as to deny involvment) but by a criminal gang. The motive in this instance was economical, not ideological. And a large number of Afghans with no relation to  international organisations, foreign forces or the Government continue to be kidnapped as an income earning opportunity, not just aid workers.</description>
